Amat Centura Radiance: A Practical RTP Parts Check

News Article 180

The simultaneous appearance of Centura and Radiance on the nameplate of the equipment does not mean that the 1 "Centura part" can be installed back as long as it is found. The Centura is a multi-cavity platform family that may carry etch, CVD, epitaxy and other process products; the Radiance falls in the context of rapid thermal processing products. If the name is checked one layer less, the inquiry may be biased from the RTP cavity to a completely different process module.

in the face of radiance equipment or old parts of amat centura, the really effective way is to disassemble the identity first, and then talk about the material number, state and substitution relationship.

First confirm the process layer where Radiance is located

RTP refers to rapid thermal processing, which uses short-time rapid heating and cooling to change the properties of thin films or doped regions, and annealing is one of its main applications. RTA emphasizes rapid thermal annealing applications, but semantic similarity does not prove that the two devices use the same chamber version.

Radiance Centura is a rapid thermal processing platform, used for thermal treatment applications such as rapid annealing and oxidation. It is not another name for the Centura Epi, DXZ CVD, or Etch chamber. When purchasing personnel see the same platform name, first confirm that the process category is RTP, and then continue to check the product family and cavity version, which can avoid the most common cross-process mismatching.

Similar names cannot omit the suffix

RTP Centura, RTP XE Centura, RTP XEplus Centura and Radiance Centura belong to different generations of product expression. RadiancePlus and Centura XE are also names that reflect further evolution. Plus, plus, or "" may appear to be just suffixes, but may point to different generations or configurations, and cannot be deleted or interchanged in quotations, label records, and technical confirmations.

A piece of equipment identity that can be used for RFQ, including at least host generation, RTP process class, Radiance product family, chamber version, wafer size, and hardware revision. If the equipment has undergone cavity upgrade, platform modification or control system replacement, the current installed hardware and modification records shall prevail, and the original product name shall not be copied.

Anchor specific components using the full part number

There is a clear entry in the existing product list: 0040-01973 REV. 004, corresponding to “CHAMBER BOTTOM RADIANCE 200MM RTP”. This record links the item, revision, part description, Radiance, 200mm, and RTP, and is suitable as a starting point for identifying the specific cavity bottom component.

It cannot retroactively prove that all Radiance cavities use the same base component, nor can it demonstrate that other revisions are directly interchangeable with REV. 004. If the device field in the list is empty, do not manually enter a compatible host. The complete number of digits and REV information of the item shall be retained during the verification, and the label of the old part, assembly position, superior components, equipment nameplate and wafer size shall be recorded at the same time. When the label cannot be recognized, you can take photos of the old parts from different angles and measure the interface, but do not guess the missing characters by appearance.

Even if it fits, it’s still equivalent

The determination of whether a part is third-party, aftermarket, or refurbished should not be based solely on its external appearance. Critical dimensions, vacuum interfaces, materials, finishes, cleanliness, temperature ranges, functional requirements, and differences in hardware revisions may affect the final fit. If alternatives change materials, coatings, geometry or thermal properties, process impact and acceptance conditions should be re-agreed, and mechanical assembly success alone is not sufficient to demonstrate equivalence.

Data from 200mm and 300mm cannot be mixed either. There is a product expression of the Radiance Centura 300 in the historical data, and the explicit entry in the customer list is written 200MM RTP. For different wafer sizes, the host interface, transmission configuration, and chamber hardware must all be verified separately.

Include the supply status in the acceptance criteria

New, cleaned, repaired, and refurbished parts do not represent the same delivery condition. New parts still need to check the item number and revision. The completion of cleaning does not mean that the size, surface, sealing or function has been restored. Repair parts should explain the failure and replacement content; Refurbished parts should account for the inspection, cleaning, repair or coating items and the inspection results after completion.

For chamber bottom components, the identity, critical dimensions, surface condition, seal or vacuum related items, and applicable particle, contamination, and functional checks may be agreed upon for actual use. The inspection report must also be able to link to the specific part number, revision, batch, and quantity. Without the corresponding relationships, only the report name alone cannot cover the components for this procurement.

Perform a cross-check before submitting the inquiry

Put the equipment platform, host, RTP chamber full name, wafer size, old part complete item number, revision, quantity and supply status in the same inquiry information. Attach a nameplate, part label, assembly location and known modification records, and indicate materials, surface treatment, cleaning, packaging, certification and inspection requirements.

If the supplier only gives matching results based on "Centura" or "Radiance", do not confirm the order first. Let the other party clearly answer: which 1 RTP cavity it corresponds to, which 1 wafer size, which complete item and revision, and what document or installation record supports the substitution relationship.
